It was a battle hard fought, but Dragon Month has finally come to an end. The battles were epic in and of themselves, but more impressively you, the fans showed tremendous support for all of your favorite dragons. It was because of you that Dragon Month worked and it is because of you that we can continue to have these events.
But enough about that. We all know why you are here, to see the final winner of Dragon Week. Well without further ado, the winner of dragon week is…. BLUE EYES WHITE DRAGON!
If this really is to be considered a fight of power versus intellect...well, Onyxia was far more clever than Charizard, and Blue-Eyes trumped her, no problem. On the anime argument...well, Charizard may have been the first, but Blue-Eyes was the greatest. –D.Knight Sevus
Charizard's main advantage is gone, Blue eyes doesn't use fire so Charizard's resistance to it is going to mean nothing at all. Even though Charizard has a quicker and more agile fighting style that has never really meant any thing to Blue-eyes, good luck dodging a neutron blast from ultimate. -LivingShadow
BEWD against onyxia? sounded like a true battle of power versus wit that could go either way. BEWD against Charizard? Thats like power versus lame. From BEWD's crushing victory over Onyxia, it should be clear that BEWD wins this hands down. More speed, more skill, more vitality, more strength, more agility. Charizard being minimally smarter in that manner is not going to help him over come the power of BEWD. Sure, CHarizard may have beaten the stompy Terra Khan, and an oldman of a shivan, but its ability doesn't come anything close to BEWD. -Jupiterstorm Its Blue-Eyes all the way, Charizard's "Flame-thrower" or "Belly Drum" simply cannot stand up to BEWD's "Burst Stream of Destruction". Charizard has a weakness to Electric attacks so nuff said. I'd like to also point out that Charizard is the final form of the Charmander species evolution line, but BEWD can become Blue-Eyes Ultimate and that create other Fusion Monsters. Come on... Belly Drum... .-Indomitable
Many Yu-Gi-Oh fans predicted this from the start, saying that Blue-Eyes simply had far too much power to be defeated by any other dragon no matter how intelligent or crafty. Blue-Eyes stomped over Blue Dragon, Onyxia, and Charizard to get this far, and fans still say that he could stomp on any other dragon in our competition. Not only did Blue-Eyes receive a massive amount of votes each around, but he also tended to receive the most forum comments as well. Our finals were an experiment, to see if support changed once you had to speak your mind to vote, but it didn't, Blue-Eyes still took home the gold.
I'd love to describe the battle for you but I'm sure you can just imagine how it went down. In fact you described it quite well in your posts. Charizard has an incredible amount of versatility however Blue-Eyes managed to defeat Onyxia and Blue Dragon both of whom had a great deal more versatility than Charizard. In the end, the raw power of the Blye-Eyes-White-Dragon was just far too much for anyone to handle… including our TCGplayer stadium. We will be sure to reinforce it with Titanium, Mythril, and Adamantium for our next competition
Let me take this moment to apologize to Charizard and his loyal following of fans. You put up a good fight, but you just weren't strong enough. Don't worry, you can come back in a later battle and show your stuff. Oh and speaking of latter battles this definitely isn't the last of the TCGplayer battle series. Be on the lookout for yet more best of the best competitions right here at TCGplayer.com. Who knows, you may see a famous Yugioh character in an all-star battle soon!
